Patient Referral
Patients, physicians, mental health professionals or family members may refer seniors with memory loss or behavioral health concerns to the Legends program by contacting the center directly. This program is voluntary for the patient. If it is clinically appropriate after assessment, the patient is admitted and will see a psychiatrist and a primary care physician for treatment.
Professional Support Staff
Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, registered dietitians, and phisical, occupational and recreational therapists. Primary care physicians are an active part of the medical management team.
Family Support
Whether a senior is experiencing depression or memory loss caused by Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, his or her family is considered an important part of the caregiving team. We encourage family members to participate in individual family sessions provided by request. This is a vital part in the patient's discharge planning to maintain treatment goals and support the patient's progress gained to improve his or her quality of life.
Insurance
Hospital treatment services for patients who qualify for admission to Legends are covered by Medicare and other health insurance plans.
