Junior volunteers

What brings satisfaction? Studies show that volunteering does. Those who volunteer are frequently happier and more content, and they often find new friendships and expand their horizons in ways they never expected.

Just ask any of the more than 300 ValleyCare Auxiliary volunteers if they enjoy their work. For more than 50 years, these caring men and women have unselfishly given their time and talent to help patients and visitors at ValleyCare's medical facilities.

Caring and Compassion

Our volunteers often provide comfort to an entire family during the anxious hours of a medical emergency or offer encouraging words to a patient awaiting surgery.

Others put their talents to good use in the Thrift Shop and Gift Shops, raising funds for scholarships, equipment and the state-of-the-art facilities and services you have come to expect from ValleyCare.

Being a volunteer does require a commitment, but the amount of time you can devote is up to you. Many positions are available that are sure to fit your schedule.

Volunteers serve our community in a variety of areas in both Pleasanton and Livermore:

  • Information and Reception Desks
  • In-service for flower delivery, patient transport and hospital staff assistance
  • Outpatient Surgery Center, Emergency Room and Urgent Care Center: assist staff members, comfort patients and act as a communication link between patients and families
  • Gift Shop
  • Thrift Shop
  • ValleyCare Health Library

Becoming a ValleyCare Auxilian is easy! Please complete the Auxiliary application or give us a call and start sharing your time and talent today!
